It is cool. FWIW i was listening to 'Flop Eared Mule' and your movements were in perfect time.

It's not cool. It is disrespectful.
Just a way for you to show off.

Anon, consider ot an electronic triptych.

anonymous at 6:22, unhinged are we?

Anonymous,

It's just a series of still shots, so what's the problem? As for showing off, it's the technology, rather than Father, that's enabling the presentation.

My goodness read this blog before you call someone who posts here judgmental.
I did not know a priest had the right to call others names. What is wrong with "pure" behavior?
Perhaps to some drinking an entire bottle of wine at one meal indicates a problem. That is what I think
the poster was indicating. Pure behavior is a virtue.

Eh, the other day I consumed four litres of wine in a little under an hour. Anyone who thinks one bottle (not even a litre if it's a standard 750mL bottle) at a single meal 'indicates a problem' needs to meet more people.

Some "Live to Work" while others "Work to Live". Thus the need for long vacations.

Flav H. Lives well. I need a trip to Mexico.

Anonymous said...

Yes and you can meet more people at an AA meeting Flav H.

Anonymous said...

rcg, Don't move to Mexico. Mr. Trump will lock you out with his famous wall.
But, He won't win. I sure would not vote for him.

Anonymous,

While the border wall idea is silly, I don't think the intention of it is to restrict legal crossings. It's only intended to prevent unauthorized crossings.

rcg said...

If I get snockered badly enough I will be on my hands and knees crawling back to the boarder anyway. I'll just continue like that and evade the patrols as well as getting under the wire. I will then count rivers, crossing the first and continuing until I reach the second. That should be the Arkansas River. At that point I will simply stand up, dust myself off, and act as if nothing has happened. I should be back in time for Denny's to open for breakfast.

Anonymous at 5:54, if you vote for Hillary you are excommunicated latae sentitiae. Remember the Democratic Party platform promotes two major intrinsic evils, abortion and gay marriage. I don't care if some fake catholic priest or bishop tells you otherwise. They will be roasting along with you!

Anonymous said...

TJM. No one can be excommunicated for casting a vote.

You are simply wrong, misinformed, ignorant of the law, no matter how much you protest.

Fr. McDonald is also wrong for posting your absurd claim.

TJM said...

Anonymous, it is a mortal sin to vote for a pro abortion candidate. End of discussion, fake catholic

rcg said...

Anon, a word of caution: if you are in a state of mortal sin and communicate you have just turned the death of your soul up to '11'. I don't mean to make light of it but I understand that many, many Catholics do not understand this so can operate in a state of ignorance. It is also, however, as an adult in the Church to explore and learn more about your faith. So ignorance is at best a thick coat and not body armour. These are live rounds, you are obligated to check the position of the candidates and weigh your vote carefully.

Anonymous said...

Casting a vote does not result in latae sententiae excommunication.

Hilary's vice presidential candidate is a Catholic. Joe Biden is a Catholic. I will vote for Hilary. If I am excommunicated because I voted with my conscience then so be it. After hearing the language of Trump today it would I would be ashamed to stand in front of God and say that I voted for him. I am an adult. The pope states we have to vote our conscience. You vote your way and I will vote mine and I don't need any human to tell me Im going to Hell because I vote for a sane person.

Hillary Clinton throughout her life has shown a profound lack of good judgement. If anyone other than Hillary set up a poorly secured private email server at the place of employment the person would be terminated immediately. It was basically an "open door " for Russian and Chinese hackers. The selection of Tim Kaine as her running mate is another example of poor judgement, or at the least, political opportunism. Her record as far as what transpired when she was Secretary of State is abysmal and abominable. The situation in North Africa (with the exception of Egypt) is far worse than it was prior to her term in that post. She and Mr Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in the failed Arab Spring movement, but fortunately the Egyptian military took the situation in hand and re-assumed control. While Benghazi burned and our ambassador was being killed, she and the President were "out of the loop", with no one taking charge and responding to what was going on there. The surge was working in Iraq but they fumbled that badly. The situation with Iran, Syria, Yemen and other countries is far worse today.
Hillary Clinton unequivacobly supports Planned Parenthood , the largest abortion provider in the United States and will continue the policy of subsidizing it with Federal Tax monies. Mr Trump says he will cut the money off. Who doesn't know by now that this organization trafficked in body parts of aborted babies? This woman will without a doubt appoint and nominate pro-abortion judges- the kind that are ruling against organizations such as the Little Sisters of the Poor, who are having to spend large sums of money on legal fees fighting for the right to not have to do something which violates Church teaching.
Mrs Clinton has a lengthy public record of espousing and acting on here anti-Christian philosophy. If you vote for her you will one day have to answer to God, and before Him no excuse.will be accepted, since what she believed in was hidden from no one.

I seriously doubt an omnipotent God cares about emails or Syria or Bengazi. Sorry.

It's interesting that Clinton is considered the evil choice because she supports the murder of unborn children, whilst Trump is considered the good choice because he's supposedly opposed to it... despite him publicly saying on Fox News that he would kill the children of terrorists.

Oh, sure the unborn are defenseless and blah blah blah. Sure, the children are the offspring of terrorists blah blah blah. I wonder, how do living children defend against drone strikes and (one presumes) live rounds from an M4?

I wonder what excuses God will accept from those who supported invading third world countries in the Middle East?

Anonymous said...

Totally agree with you Flavius H. Anyone who thinks that Trump will really do something about abortion is being deceived. He cares nothing for the unborn. He abuses women, insults families of soldiers, uses profanity, has been married three times, and his latest news indicates sexual assault on women. To the person who pushes the button to elect this evil man you need to educate yourself. His base is uneducated people who are tricked by his so called stance on abortion. Choose the lesser of two evils. THINK WITH YOUR HEAD.

I am not ready to bury the Church or the Republic quite yet. When we vote for a mayor we should not prioritize intelligence but willingness to respond to petitions of the citizens in various forms. This implies the participation of the people in various ways to get the attention and support of the mayor. If we Americans have failed it is in our participation between primary elections and putting forward candidates that are reasonable alternatives rather than allowing the field to be exclusivly populated by sociopaths.

Likewise, our parishes are offen on a sort of autopilot and change is feared least some prominent family leave in anger or someone grumble to the too often weak willed pastor.

But in this grey region lies our opportunity.

While I do not hereby endorse voting for Trump I do point out that he would be, by far, the easiest to control and frustrate. He would also serve as a focal point of the wrath of Ashtoreth when she is not elected thereby serving as conveniently drawing her fire away from the Deplorables and perhaps a respite from the advance of Globalism. Furthermore, to recap a previous thread, we can be good citizens and not vote at all, at least not in this election. This principle can be applied in our parishes. We can form influential groups that intentionally position themselves in assignments and provide financial support that is 'everpresent in the mind' of the pastor and therfore a leverage for needed reforms.

Drone Strikes? Under Mr Obama, there have been far more drone strikes that killed more people (including innocent children) than happened under Mr Bush. Mr Obama allowed the murder, rape, and torture of untold thousands of Christians(including innocent children) and did nothing. That means very little or nothing to you? Very few of the Syrian and other refugees brought into this country have been Christian. Why is that? When one refers to Christian in the Middle East, one refers to a population which is almost totally Catholic.

Anonymous @8:51 AM, you say we are being deceived by Mr Trump. Maybe we are, but that is just your contention. We KNOW what Hillary will do. God only expects us to make a judgement on what a person says he or she will do. If Mr Trump lied to us about being pro-life, but he turns out not to be so, then that is on him, not us. It is not just Hillary's stance on abortion, but also the kind of judges she will nominate. We are gradually losing our religious freedom through court decisions. As far as the kind of person Mr Trump has been in his personal life, yes I don't like what I have read about him. I take the position that Hillary has taken with Bill (who has been accused of much worse). I'll stick with him despite his flaws.
By the way, I wonder how many people who are having a problem with Mr Trump private conversations, voted for Bill Clinton despite what we knew about him?

Unknown said...

Faithful,

Please quote exactly where I said 'this means nothing to me'. I wasn't talking about Obama or Bush (except for the last line of my comment). I was talking about the future if Mr. Trump has his way. Obama's drone strikes are irrelevant when discussing Trump's idea that we need to 'take out their families'.

Regardless, I've said before on this blog, and I'll say it again: I believe the United States government is evil, regardless of the person sitting in the Oval Office. Thankfully, I answer to another government now.

And, by the way, the majority of Christians in the Middle East are Orthodox, whether Eastern or Oriental. 12 million alone are Coptic, compared to 2 million Maronites.

Faithful Catholic,

Exactly but in my experience, fake catholics who vote Dem are awash in hypocrisy

Unknown said...

And, Faithful, before you make assumptions about my voting history, this is the first presidential election I'm eligible to vote it.

I was 17 in 2012.

Faithful Catholic said...

Flavius:

No assumptions about your voting history. That comment was directed at Anonymous. You are right about the numbers of Orthodox in the Middle East. When I used Catholic I was lumping the two groups which was incorrect on my part(I'm sure any Orthodox who read my comment were ever-ready to correct me on that!) . Both groups are Christian of course.

Anyone who has any morals at all, anyone who is a woman, has a daughter or granddaughter who votes for Mr. Trump has in TJM's words NO MORALS AT ALL. You all need to talk to your priest about what a "Fake Catholic" is. A "Fake Catholic" who believes Trump will do something about abortion is completely blind.

Unknown said...

TJM,

I can't be a 'fake Catholic', since I'm Orthodox.
